Postgraduate Research Scholarships in 2008

In 2008, Swinburne's Centenary Year, there are over 120 research scholarships available including the following:
Mid-year scholarships
Swinburne has introduced faculty-based, mid-year scholarships which are open to international students interested in studying for masters or PhD by research.

Swinburne Chancellor's Centenary Research Scholarship (CCRS)
The Chancellor's Research Scholarships are funded by Swinburne University of Technology and are the University's premier research scholarships. They are open to all applicants - international and Australian and New Zealand citizens.
The scholarships cover tuition fees and provide an annual stipend of $25,000, a research Establishment Grant of up to $3000, and up to $5000 for an overseas placement, for up to six months, in a collaborating laboratory or organisation nominated by Swinburne.
These scholarships are only available only for full time PhD study within one of Swinburne's areas of research concentration.
Swinburne University Centenary Postgraduate Research Award (SUCPRA)
The scholarships are funded by Swinburne University of Technology and provides an annual stipend of $20,000 per annum and a tuition fee
scholarship (valued at around $40,000 per annum) for up to 3 years for doctoral studies and up to two years for Masters by Research.
Relocation assistance and thesis preparation assistance are also provided.
The scholarships are open to all applicants - international and Australian and New Zealand citizens.
Centenary Tuition Fee Scholarships
The scholarship offers a tuition fee exemption (valued at $20,000 per annum) for up to three years for doctoral studies and two years for Masters by Research.
The scholarships are open to both local and international students.
Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (EIPRS)
These scholarships are funded by the Australian Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST). EIPRS are open to citizens of all overseas countries (excluding New Zealand ).
The scholarships cover tuition fees and health cover and are available for either Doctoral degree programs (normally 3 years) or Masters level research (2 years).
