Professor Barbara Loucif

Hawthorn Professor Barbara Loucif has over twenty eight years of consulting experience specializing in designing and implementing leadership development and organizational design interventions for Fortune 500 companies.

Professor Loucif has completed extensive research in the management and leadership development field. She recently co-authored with Warren Bennis an extensive research project entitled “Best-In-Class Practices for Identifying, Developing and Retaining Emerging Leaders.” Professor Loucif has assisted numerous clients in designing and implementing effective management and leadership development programs (including action learning projects), and has provided executive coaching to senior executives.

Professor Loucif’s publications include Effective Teams, The Individual Development Plan: A Step by Step Guide, Strategic Business Reviews, and Competitive Benchmarking. Prior to founding Partners4Results, Professor Loucif held senior positions at Linkage, Inc, The MAC Group and Arthur Andersen & Co. She received her MBA in Finance and BBA in Accounting from the George Washington University. Professor Loucif was nominated by Northeastern University students for the Teaching Excellence award and the Innovation in Online Courses award in 2006.

Leslie Hitch

Director of Academic Technology Services at Northeastern University

Hawthorn Leslie Hitch serves as the translator, catalyst and sometimes arbiter between information technology and the academic community. Prior to joining Northeastern, she was the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Program Services at Harcourt Higher Education, an Online College. Dr. Hitch has taught Management Communication, Higher Education Management and e-Learning at Northeastern, Simmons College and the University of Massachusetts, Boston – both in the classroom and online.

She has extensive industry-client consulting experience in Executive Education at Babson College, directed a masters program at Simmons College, has conducted strategic planning with several colleges and has served as a consultant to IBM’s Global Education business unit. She has co-authored a management development program on teamwork for the American Management Association and written several articles on management communications as well as on technology in higher education. She holds a B.A. and MBA from Simmons College and earned her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from U-Mass, Boston.

Professor Jane C. Edmonds

Senior Lecturer at Northeastern University

Hawthorn Northeastern University Professor Jane Edmonds teaches graduate courses on Executive Leadership. She is an experienced organisational consultant, trainer and speaker. Jane has a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Professor Edmonds has held a series of distinguished government posts. She was appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to serve as a member of the Governor's cabinet, and to serve as administrative head of the Department of Workforce Development ("DWD"). Professor Edmonds also is a former Chair of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination ("MCAD"), the civil rights law enforcement agency for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Prior to joining state government, Ms. Edmonds founded and led JCEA, Inc., a workforce development and diversity leadership firm, serving clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors, among them: GE Capital Corporation, Fidelity, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, United Technologies, and Camp Dresser & McKee. In addition, Ms. Edmonds is a former elected member of the Sharon, Massachusetts School Committee where she served two terms, one as its Chair.

The primary focus of Jane's work, for more than thirty years, has been helping organisations expand the contributions of its diverse human resources through leadership development, team-building, dispute resolution and discrimination-prevention. Her pioneering work in workforce diversity has helped a wide range of companies devise strategies that optimise workforce skills.

Michelle Costello

Hawthorn Ms Costello is a finance professional with nine years of industry experience spanning various aspects of corporate and real estate finance. She has particular expertise in cash flow analysis based on valuations of corporate real estate portfolios and leveraged buyout transactions. She has also been involved in a number of significant cross-border bank transactions and currently manages a credit portfolio comprised of cross border credit exposure for 60 clients.

In addition, Ms Costello received her MBA from NYU Stern 2005 and her BA from the University of Notre Dame 1999. She has also led various professional training sessions and is the founder of an accredited student-led experiential learning course at Notre Dame.

Charles Tweedly

Hawthorn Dr. Charles Tweedly is a senior lecturer at Northeastern and an independent consultant in the area of Training, Organisational Development and Change Facilitation. His areas of expertise include meeting design and facilitation, team learning and development, executive and management coaching, training design and delivery, organisational development, cultural integration for mergers and acquisitions, change process design and facilitation, and strategy development and deployment. His clients include such notable companies as Pratt & Whitney, Otis Elevator, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, UTC Fire and Security and Pfizer. .

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Dr. Tweedly was an internal consultant in Leadership and Organisational Development for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines. He played a key role in creating and facilitating comprehensive integration and change strategies for numerous restructuring programs, joint ventures, and merger/acquisitions in Asia, Europe, and the United States. As a Training Manager for Otis Elevator Company, he managed the training requirements for the Eastern United States and Canada. In this capacity, Dr Tweedly designed, managed and delivered customised development programs and was the primary designer, facilitator and manager of the Otis Sales Development Program.

A unique aspect of Dr. Tweedly's background is his extensive training and experience in the design and facilitation of large and small group change processes. He has been trained in future search, search conference, participative design, whole scale change and appreciative inquiry. His practical experience and training in this area has given him the ability to integrate these diverse change processes into uniquely effective interventions.

Dr. Tweedly graduated from Bryant College with a bachelor degree in marketing. He received his masters in human resource development from Boston University and his doctorate from George Washington University. His dissertation topic was Transformational Learning and Successful Dyslexics.

Christyne Vachon

Hawthorn As a US lawyer, Christyne J. Vachon is currently a sole practitioner with over nine years of extensive and varied experience in corporate and securities law. Her emphasis has been on securities regulation, having worked for the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for over six years and then serving as chief compliance officer for an investment advisor.

While at the SEC she served as the first state liaison to Montana which required her to educate local regulators about securities regulation and the role of the SEC. More recently, she served as in-house counsel for a venture capital fund and as general counsel for start-up technology companies.

Ms. Vachon has also taught securities regulation and business communication in Mongolia where she also consulted with the Mongolian Stock Exchange and the Institute for Finance and Economics.

Ms. Vachon received her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College in 1993 and her J.D. from University of Denver in 1999. In 1999 she also completed her course of study at the Hague Academie of International Law.
